So, long time no blog. My reading and blogging has been slow this year and I never even finished writing on my summer reading. The coolest thing I've read recently wasn't a book though. See below:
So, Spencer Krug's marimba EP has been released. Finally! Plus, it's a pay-what-you-want download. But here's the best thing: the album was inspired by dreams and the website includes descriptions of some of these dreams. They are funny, melancholy, sweet, freaky, Freudian, and frightening.
A few highlights:
Spencer is ummm... doing number 2 on a table. Some members of Arcade Fire show up, which is humiliating and awkward. But then Neil Young appears with some red wine to help clean up the shit. "I’m really glad that he showed up."
Spencer and his band mate are "3 things: ninjas, teleporters & babysitters."

I am very jealous you have read Wicked Plants! How was it? What did you think of The Monsters of Templeton? WILL YOU BE BLOGGING FROM YOUR NEW HOME???!!!
Sorry to inundate you with questions :) hope you have settled!
Okay, late response:
--I'm bringing back the blog!
--Wicked Plants is awesome. Thank the librarian in charge of biology collection development at BU. We bought it from Amazon rather than the publisher, and it was probably less than $30, if you can't find it at a library.
--Hmm, Monsters of Templeton I read on vacation which made it seem better. I liked in in theory and also liked a lot of it in realization. Ultimately it disappointed somehow though. Also: I seem to remember some very irritating happenings. Perhaps revolving around Debilitating Illness Friend. Loved the Smithie. Thoughts?
